A lawyer’s view on the FCA’s latest employment tribunal case

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is defending a claim from Ahmet Latif who the regulator says was sacked for gross misconduct.
Mr Latif alleges that he was dismissed as a result of reporting wrongdoing around the FCA’s treatment of Freedom of Information (FOI) requests.
He says he was a whistleblower and this was the real reason for his dismissal. Judgment is awaited.
