Ranchi: The fifth state convention of the All India Youth Federation (AIYF) resolved to fight for various issues, including rising unemployment, drug abuse among youths and the deteriorating law and order in the state in the coming days.
The participants of the convention, held at the Ranchi Press Club on Sunday, also elected Arjun Kumar as its president and Ajay Kumar Singh as general secretary of the state unit.
A 31-member committee was also constituted. The members then decided to enrol one lakh members of the organisation.
Speaking as chief guest on the occasion, former IAS officer Ranendra Kumar said, “The youths have to take to the streets against the anti-people policies of Union and the state govts.”
