Aldahra Joins the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD)

Geneva, 15 April 2025 – The World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) announces that Al Dahra, a prominent multinational leader in agribusiness, has joined as its newest member.

Guided by its purpose of “Sustainably Feeding a Growing World,” Al Dahra specializes in the cultivation, production, and trading of nearly 3 million tons of essential food commodities and up to 3 million tons of animal feed annually. With over 400,000 acres of agricultural land across Egypt, Romania, Serbia, USA, and other countries, the company has established a widespread geographic footprint operating in over 20 countries and serving more than 40 markets, with a leading position in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. With an ambitious sustainability target in mind, Al Dahra already is in active transition of it’s farmland to regenerative agriculture. Today, nearly 34% of their land bank has been transitioned to regenerative agriculture.

By joining WBCSD, Al Dahra furthers its mission of sustainable food production and distribution at global scale. The company aims to collaborate with industry leaders and other key stakeholders to address critical challenges such as sustainable agricultural practices, food security, and climate-resilient food systems. This partnership will enable Al Dahra to contribute its extensive expertise in large-scale irrigated agricultural operations and global food supply chains to collective efforts aimed at transforming food and agriculture systems worldwide.
