Last year, NMA Top 100 advice firm Strategic Solutions announced it had the youngest adviser in the country to get chartered. Now its most recent to pass the exam could be the oldest.
Bournemouth-based Strategic has 31 advisers, 22 of whom are chartered. Unusually for the advice profession, Dave Stone is somewhat an outlier among his younger colleagues, most of whom are below 40 when they reach chartered status.
At age 61, and after watching his younger team members become chartered, Dave Stone now holds the accolade with the Chartered Institute Insurance (CII), and might be the oldest one to do so. NMA has contacted the CII, which did not respond by the time of publication.
