Careers support offered at Wolverhampton drop-in sessions

People in Wolverhampton looking for employment, training or career development opportunities are being encouraged to visit drop-in events being held across the city.

The council’s Wolves at Work team is offering one-to-one support with CV writing, job application and interview skills, plus help with travel and small work-related costs and up to six months of support while job seeking.

The team would also have access to hundreds of local vacancies and can make referrals to partners including the National Careers Service, the authority said.

Chris Burden, council cabinet member for jobs and skills, said the scheme, part of Employability Week, had helped hundreds into work over the past year.
