TOKYO — If China were to play global hopscotch with its dumping practices, it would undermine its attempt to regain trust from trading partners and even risk alienation amid its trade war with the U.S., economists have warned.
While the U.S.-China truce on tariffs offers some breathing room, fears over a re-escalation in the trade war and skepticism about successful negotiations have prompted concerns among EU and ASEAN nations that China would flood their markets with cheap products.
