Dudley Council has been accredited for providing excellent information, advice and guidance to borough residents seeking support with skills, education and employment.
The adult and community learning team at Dudley Council has retained the Matrix standard for the eighteenth year running, following a recent accreditation visit.
Operated by the Department for Education, the national accreditation scheme recognises organisations such as the local authority for work to support people in education and employment.
The adult and community learning team helps people who live in Dudley borough to find new training and employment opportunities, with a focus on helping people who may not currently be in the workforce to find employment.
During the visit, the team was praised for nurturing personal development and wellbeing while encouraging individual ambitions, as well as effective development of systems with a strong focus on quality and improvement.
Councillor Simon Phipps, cabinet member for economy and infrastructure, said:
“Dudley Council is committed to supporting our residents to undertake a programme of lifelong learning and development.
“We want to support everyone to progress and thrive, whatever their career and work life goals may be, and over the last three years we have supported over 4000 adult learners to achieve their goals.
“It is wonderful the team has once again been recognised with the Matrix standard, and I would like to personally thank our adult and community learning team for their amazing work in this important field.”
