The Nevada Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation (DETR) has released their March 2025 economic report.
According to the report, the state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 5.7% in March of this year.
This is down 0.1 percentage points from the previous month.
In the three major metropolitan areas in Nevada, the unemployment rates for March were:
- Las Vegas area: 5.6%
- Reno area: 4.7%
- Carson City area: 4.5%
Looking at counties in the state, the lowest unemployment rate in March was in Elko County at 4.3%. The highest unemployment rate in March was held by Mineral County, with a rate of 9.6%.
