So far there hasn’t been anything crossing news wires on this. It seems an unlikely venue for a policy-related speech, so its not surprising.

Of note on the calendar otherwise is data from China. Consensus estimates are for

• retail sales to dip from March
• fixed-asset investment to remain steady
• industrial production also to dip (April purchasing managers’ index (PMI) data, along with trade data, point to a lower result for industrial output)
