NATCHITOCHES, La. — The Louisiana Workforce Commission’s Rapid Response Team is still helping workers displaced from International Paper Company’s Campti mill.

Almost 500 hourly and 179 salaried employees are losing their jobs at the plant in early April as operations wind down.

Reemployment assistance events will be held at the Natchitoches American Job Center at the following days and times:

  • Tuesday through Thursday – 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • March 18-20 – 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • March 25-27 – 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The job center will provide information on training grant referrals, application/resume assistance, workshop registration, HIRE registration, labor market information and community and health resources.
