The HR Dept has two offices covering all of Cornwall and provide HR services to numerous Cornish businesses who reach across the UK and beyond.
Mike Talbot, director of The HR Dept (West & Central Cornwall) opened the national brand’s first Cornwall branch in April 2023.
Mike has extensive experience in HR, L&D, leadership and organisational development, and the now expanded West & Central Cornwall team prides itself on providing local, bespoke services to small and medium sized businesses.
The HR Dept can help SMEs navigate what the government describes as the most significant reforms to employment rights in a generation. Mike says that “often we first meet a client with a specific HR challenge, which we resolve, but then we proactively work with the business to put in place policies and practices to provide peace of mind and prevent future people problems”.
Justine Mitchell-Pearce has successfully run the HR Dept in Plymouth and SW Devon for four years and has now launched into Cornwall covering from the Tamar Bridge, to Launceston, Bodmin and the surrounding areas.
Justine has worked for over 25 years as an HR Professional in large multi-million pound businesses and has now transferred her corporate skill set to provide local business owners with tailored HR services, helping them to build their businesses while navigating the employment journey. Justine says: “I love working with my fabulous clients who are passionate about their businesses and really want to provide the best work environment for their teams. I am pleased to be able to support that with proactive HR solutions and I am super excited to be expanding this into Cornwall.”
