Eurostat and the International Labour Organization (ILO) are organising the global conference on measuring new forms of employment, in Brussels, on 4 and 5 July 2024.
The conference gathers high-profile policy makers, statistical experts and researchers in the labour market domain, and representatives of workers’ and employers’ organisations from Europe and the rest of the world.
The conference provides a high-level forum to address the demand at national, EU and international level, for reliable statistical information on the evolution of work relationships and modalities as well as the labour market. The event aims to both present existing initiatives to define and measure the phenomenon of new forms of employment in the context of digital and innovative economy and reflect on future statistical needs and developments in the domain.
Topic areas will be discussed in line with the international statistical standards and priorities. This includes digital platform employment, recent experiences with measurement of non-standard forms of work and the implementation of the International Classification of Status in Employment of the ILO within the EU Labour Force Survey.
Full details on the programme, objectives and methodological references are available on the conference website.
