Han Kun Law Offices has brought in Suzie Zhao to the Shanghai office, who specialises in advising on the NewCo model, licensing and PE/VC. Her registration as a partner is currently underway.
Before joining Han Kun, Zhao was a partner at Lifeng Partners, where she was responsible for developing the life sciences and technology practices.
The China and New York state qualified lawyer has been counselling investment funds and companies on complex cross-border transactions, helping clients to mitigate risks arising from compliance, conflicts of interest and geopolitics.
Earlier in her career, she was an associate at Jones Day, Morgan Lewis and Wilson Sonsini, and later became a partner at Commerce & Finance Law Offices.
