Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF), the CSR arm of Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), has introduced several initiatives aimed at improving healthcare access, economic independence, and employment opportunities for women across India. These programs align with Hyundai’s global vision of Creating Shared Value – ‘CONTINUE’ – and focus on long-term social impact.

As part of its healthcare efforts, HMIF’s Sparsh Sanjeevani program has provided medical consultations to 77,231 women through 52 Telemedicine Centres and 10 Mobile Medical Units (MMUs). The initiative, which operates in Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Kerala, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Gujarat, and Karnataka, focuses on screenings, hygiene awareness, and early diagnosis services. Since 2024, the program has also conducted awareness camps on menstrual hygiene, cervical cancer screening, and maternal and child health, benefiting 4,561 women through early detection and preventive care.

In the area of economic empowerment, HMIF’s Livelihood Support Program has helped over 750 women across six districts in Tamil Nadu generate an annual income of ₹6.7 crore, indirectly benefiting approximately 3,000 people. The initiative provides training in various trades, including cattle rearing, financial literacy, tailoring, embroidery, juice shops, and oil pressing. Women participating in the program have seen an increase in monthly household income ranging from ₹6,000 to ₹8,000.

HMIF has also introduced the Drive4Progress program to provide driver training and employment opportunities for women. A total of 186 women have been trained as commercial drivers, with 55 securing placements. Currently, 70 women are undergoing training, and more than 50 have received self-defense training as part of the program to enhance their safety and confidence.
