Hyundai Motor will cooperate with the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled to realize the social value of companies through the promotion of employment of the disabled.
Hyundai Motor announced that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled to create jobs for the disabled and practice ESG management at Hyundai Motor’s Yangjae headquarters in Seocho-gu, Seoul on the 21st.
Hyundai Motor has decided to fulfill its corporate social responsibilities by promoting the expansion of hiring the disabled and providing quality jobs, including the special recruitment of regular workers for the disabled, which is in effect this year. The Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled decided to support Hyundai Motor’s ESG management practice by presenting employment models through job analysis suitable for the disabled and providing various employment services, including vocational training.
Through this MOU, Hyundai Motor and the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled plan to establish a cooperative system to continuously expand employment of the disabled and stabilize employment, and to join forces to create a disabled-friendly working environment and a foundation for positive perception.
“Hyundai Motor is aiming for a ‘company that grows with all stakeholders through sustainable management activities,'” said Kim Hye-in, head of Hyundai Motor’s HR division. “We will continue to strive to realize social values and practice ESG management through employment of the disabled.”
Lee Jong-sung, chairman of the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled, said, “Through this agreement, it is very meaningful to provide an opportunity to work together with Hyundai Motor, a global company, on the employment of the disabled. We will do our best to draw a big picture of Hyundai Motor and the employment of the disabled in the future.”
