IIM Calcutta, EdTech’s Imarticus Learning private equity and venture capital 7-month programme is designed for finance professionals and entrepreneurs and offers insights from the institute’s finance faculty.
Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta in partnership with EdTech Imarticus Learning has launched an executive programme in private equity and venture capital. The 7-month programme is designed for finance professionals and entrepreneurs with insights from IIM Calcutta’s faculty and private equity and venture capital veterans.
The course includes a 3-day campus immersion at IIM Calcutta for learners and also includes engaging directly with faculty and experiencing the institute’s academic environment.
The new programme is aligned with the global growth trajectories of the private equity and venture capital sectors globally. “The global private equity market is projected to grow to $781.36 billion by 2029, at a CAGR of 10.1%, while the global venture capital investment market is expected to expand to $764.78 billion by 2029, at a CAGR of 20.4%,” the official IIM Calcutta statement said.

IIM Calcutta: Private equity, venture capital programme
According to the official IIM Calcutta statement, the private equity, venture capital programme will help learners to navigate the changes in the investment landscape. The programme includes core and advanced topics, including deal sourcing, valuation, financial modeling, fundraising, portfolio management, and exit strategies. The curriculum covers the entire investment cycle with digital and regulatory aspects.
Additionally, learners will benefit from concept-based and application-driven learning from IIM Calcutta’s renowned finance faculty, researchers, and mentors in areas such as startup valuation, fund structuring, and portfolio management. The programme includes masterclasses by renowned PE and VC veterans who will offer insights about the PE and VC sectors.
