The 10th entrepreneurship summit will be held at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT M) from February 28. Called ‘Decade of Dynamism’, the e-summit ’25 will have over 1,000 founders, 50 investors, and 15,000 students from at least 400 colleges across the country.
The summit will, for the first time, have a live fundraising event called ‘PitchFest’, where around 100 startups will compete for funding from leading angel investors.
The annual event that serves as a hub for aspiring entrepreneurs, the e-summit will provide a platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to nurture innovative ideas and transform them into viable business ventures, bringing together industry experts, venture capitalists, and students.
Institute director V. Kamakoti said PitchFirst is an opportunity for students to demonstrate their ability to attract funding with their ability to convince angel investors. The e-summit will also feature the first ever ‘biz bazaar’, offering students a marketplace to showcase and sell their creations. “It acts as a low prep event for students to get a flavour of business and entrepreneurship.”
E-cell faculty advisor Richa Agrawal said the summit is the culmination of a yearlong effort of the e-cell team on campus and beyond. There will also be a startup expo where students, investors, and professionals may showcase their products and services.
There will be a bootcamp for early-stage startups; an incubator-summit; and a pan-India fundraising event called Elevate, fostering collaboration between early-stage entrepreneurs, mentors, angel investors, and venture capitalists.
The e-summit will feature social initiatives such as in-verse, launched this year to empower the creative arts sector. Other activities include Education-21 to help schoolchildren appreciate the potential of an entrepreneurial mindset.
