Inheritance tax reform ‘has potential to seriously damage’ family farm business model, NI Secretary Benn is told

A major cross-border dairy co-op has warned that reforms to inheritance tax (IHT) will “seriously damage” the business model of family farms.

Lakeland Dairies, which is based in Monaghan and has operations north of the border, raised its concerns during a visit by NI Secretary Hilary Benn to its foodservice facility in Newtownards last week.
