Ranchi: The Readymade Garment and Apparel Foundation of Jharkhand (JRGA Foundation) launched a three-day social event for women entrepreneurs to interact with key institutions like MSME, NABARD, and other textile industry stakeholders.
The event features over 35 stalls showcasing garments, jewellery, and apparel by emerging women-led enterprises, highlighting local craftsmanship and contemporary design.
At the inaugural ceremony, MSME deputy director Surender Sharma emphasised their role in supporting start-ups. “Special subsidies are available for entrepreneurs, and Udyam certificate registration can be completed online, simplifying access to govt benefits. Various schemes are available to help start-ups,” said Sharma.
NABARD assistant general manager Neetu Kumari discussed their initiatives supporting textile-based ventures. “Targeted funding, capacity building, and sustainable development programmes within the textile sector are helping entrepreneurs,” she said.
JRGA president Abhitabh Srivastava said, “This platform empowers women entrepreneurs by facilitating dialogue with policymakers and institutional leaders, enabling collaborations, and promoting knowledge-sharing. Through workshops, panel discussions, and exhibitions, we aim to create new growth opportunities in the textile sector.”
The event brings together various stakeholders to strengthen the textile industry while promoting women’s entrepreneurship in Jharkhand. It serves as a crucial platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and business development in the textile sector, with a special focus on women-led enterprises.
