PARAGOULD, Ark. (KAIT) – Those in need of a job made their way to the Paragould Community Center for the annual Greene County Job Fair.

The Paragould Community Center held the ninth annual Greene County Job Fair on Tuesday, Mar. 11.

Over 36 employers showed up to help those seeking employment in the Greene County area.

Paragould Regional Chamber of Commerce Director of Workforce Development Teresa Branch said there were over 500 jobs available at the job fair.

“We’ve had a lot of them that have their resumes together already,” Branch said. “Some have seen the positions available online and just wanted to make that face-to-face contact.”

Branch said that she saw on-the-spot interviewing.

“It’s up to the individual businesses but yes I’ve seen some interviewing on the spot,” Branch said. “I haven’t had talked to them to see if they have done any hiring but if they have jobs available and they are qualified, they’ve gotten some hiring done.”
