Over four weeks, participants completed more than 900 hours of professional development
Thirteen young Aboriginal women have successfully graduated from the Kuwa Circles Program, an intensive, culturally safe initiative led by the Adelaide Crows Foundation to support women aged 15–25 in pursuing meaningful careers and further study.
Over four weeks, participants completed more than 900 hours of professional development and 1,200 hours of targeted job-ready training, delivered in partnership with Workskil Australia and proudly supported by Budget Car and Truck Rental.
The program’s curriculum blends cultural learning with practical career skills, including STEM education, personal development, and high-performance workshops. Participants also engaged in on-Country learning and were mentored by respected Aboriginal leaders, including AFLW premiership player Danielle Ponter.
Building on strong results from previous years where 80 per cent of participants transitioned to employment or study, this year’s cohort benefited from a structured program built around four key themes: connection, context, concepts and careers.
Adelaide Crows Foundation Chair Kate Thiele said the graduation is both a celebration and a launchpad.
“These young women have shown determination and pride. Kuwa Circles gives them the confidence and capability to take their next step—and we’ll continue to walk alongside them as they do. With the support of Budget Car and Truck Rental and Workskil Australia, this program is opening doors and changing lives.”
Looking ahead, the Foundation and Workskil Australia will continue to support graduates in securing employment or further education aligned to their individual strengths and interests.
