The outage impacted over 40,000 users, according to data from Downdetector. Microsoft quickly worked to resolve the issue, identifying a potential cause and reverting the suspected code. By around 4:40 p.m., services were coming back online, and the company stated it was monitoring telemetry to confirm full recovery of their systems.
