Martínez-Echevarría Abogados has announced the dual appointment of Luis Mosquera as partner and Jimena Fernández as head of the firm’s Labor Law practice in Madrid, reinforcing its commitment to top-tier legal talent in a growing and increasingly complex area.

With over 25 years of experience, Mosquera brings deep sectoral expertise, particularly in the aviation, construction, maintenance, and handling industries. He has previously led labor departments at MA Abogados and Álvarez-Ossorio Müller & Co, and has also served as an in-house and external labor advisor at firms like Grupo Gestiona-T and Casa de Ley.

A graduate in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid, Mosquera is also an active lecturer in labor law and HR strategy, collaborating with institutions such as Centro de Estudios Garrigues, IFFE Business School, and CECE.

Joining him is Jimena Fernández, who will lead the Madrid labor team. With experience at KPMG Abogados, RCD, and the Spanish Airline Pilots Union (SEPLA), Fernández has advised across diverse sectors including transportation, hospitality, healthcare, aviation, and telecom.

She specializes in complex labor disputes, collective bargaining agreements, large-scale layoffs, and negotiation of sectoral and in-house agreements, as well as strike-related legal processes. She holds a Law degree and a diploma in Business Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid.

Her broad procedural experience spans representation before Spain’s Labor Inspectorate, national labor courts, and mediation at SIMA.

With these strategic additions, Martínez-Echevarría significantly bolsters its labor law capabilities, combining Mosquera’s strategic leadership with Fernández’s hands-on legal expertise in high-stakes collective labor scenarios.
