CEO Chae to serve as head of Naver’s Arabian corporation Reorganization in April…CFO Kim Nam-sun is the CEO of strategic investment
Naver has established a strategic business division to strengthen its global business, including Saudi Arabia, and appointed Seon Ju Chae’s foreign and ESG policy representative as its head.
In addition, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), who oversees Naver’s finance, was replaced by CV Center Director Heechul Kim, signaling a change in major management.
Naver announced on the 14th that such a major management leader’s role change is scheduled along with the reorganization starting on the 1st of next month.
First of all, Naver will establish a strategic business division to more intensively promote global strategic projects such as Saudi Arabia. Seon Ju Chae’s foreign and ESG policy representative, who led the development of the Saudi Arabian market, will lead the sector.
CEO Chae will also serve as the head of Naver Arabia’s corporation in charge of Middle East business. Chae, who is stepping down as an in-house director due to the expiration of his term this month, is expected to focus on Naver’s global business by leading its strategic business and Middle East subsidiaries.

CV Center Director Heechul Kim, who was appointed as the new CFO, is a financial expert who has performed duties such as accounting and management at Naver’s financial organization. Naver explained the background of the appointment of CFO nominee Kim, saying, “We are recognized for our financial management ability by performing high in terms of efficient resource allocation, profit and loss management, and strengthening accounting control tower functions.”
CFO Kim Nam-sun, who has been in charge of finance while serving as CFO since 2022, will serve as Naver’s strategic investment representative and lead the establishment of global investment-related strategies.
Along with expanding corporate venture investment to discover strategic investment and future growth, he continues his activities on the management front of Poshmark as executive chairman of the North American Poshmark Board, which Naver acquired.
Meanwhile, Naver will vote on the return of its founder, Lee Hae-jin, head of global investment (GIO), to the board of directors and a second term as Soo Yeon Choi CEO at a regular shareholders’ meeting scheduled for the 26th.
