If it’s March, it must be osprey season in Boulder County.

Boulder County Parks and Open Space workers watching over an osprey camera at Boulder County Fairgrounds, 9595 Nelson Road, just east of Cattail Pond caught a large osprey perched on a nesting platform a few minutes before 10 a.m. Tuesday. The bird rested for roughly an hour before departing.
Another osprey made its way on camera around 12:15 p.m. Tuesday before it flew off around 2 p.m. amid strong winds.
The public webcam has tracked osprey coming and going in the area since 2012. You can watch at: https://bouldercounty.gov/open-space/management/osprey-camera/
Last year, male osprey returned to Boulder County on March 21, while females arrived on March 24.
