Watsontown, Pa. — A new woman-owned business with a mission for sustainability and community wellness has officially opened its doors in the heart of Watsontown.
Blended 6 Refillery, located at 223-225 Main Street, is offering residents a fresh way to shop — focusing on zero-waste, non-toxic, and eco-friendly household and personal care products.
Owned and operated by Trisha Castle, BSN/RN, with the help of her daughter Emma Klouser, Blended 6 Refillery represents a family vision come to life. Inspired by Emma’s idea for a local refillery and named in honor of the family’s blended household of six, the shop combines health, environmental consciousness, and community values into one storefront.
“I truly believe that our health is affected by what we put in and on our bodies,” said Castle, who spent years working as a nurse in bedside and ER settings before transitioning to focus on family and entrepreneurship. “I want to start with the healthy version of us to help avoid the illnesses that have become so prevalent.”

Hundreds of products line the shelves of the new family-ran refillery.
Blended 6 Refillery opened with a soft launch on April 9. Customers have since been able to browse a wide range of refillable products including hand soaps, laundry detergent, shampoos, conditioners, skincare, and even pet products. Refillery shoppers have the freedom to bring their own containers or purchase ones in-store. Products are sold by the ounce to encourage a more sustainable, waste-reducing shopping experience.
In October, Lycoming County witnessed the opening of just Be Market and Refillery. Some saw the sustainable business model as nothing more than an aesthetic trend, but it has proved worthy of its place in small-town North Central Pa. Blended 6 Refillery seeks to another option to the area.
The store features a curated selection of eco-friendly brands including Rowe Casa Organics, Rustic Strength, No Tox Life, Oneka, and Plaine Products.
Local goods like teas, jams, and honey from nearby artisans such as Lavender Thyme Garden & Herbs and Hackenberg Apiaries are also for sale, Castle says. Soon, handmade pottery from Rise and Design Art Studio will be made available for purchase in the new store, as well.

Large containers of liquid soap are lined up for those looking to get their refill.
Castle says one of her core goals is to offer affordable, non-toxic products by purchasing inventory in bulk and passing savings along to the customers.
“Your lifestyle doesn’t have to change all at once,” Castle added. “Making even one change can make a difference in your health and our environment.”

It doesn’t stop at cleaning goods — shoppers can also buy protein and electrolyte blends to add to drinks and foods.
To celebrate its official opening, Blended 6 Refillery is hosting a Grand Opening celebration on Sat., May 31, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will feature door prizes, product sales, and free samples of new flavors from Just Ingredients’ popular natural electrolytes, including Coconut Lime, Lemonade, Blue Hawaiian, and Fruit Punch. Shoppers can also purchase Blended 6 Refillery apparel and enjoy Bubble Tea and Bubble Lemonade from A & A Country Market, managed by Castle’s nieces.
Castle is committed to continuing her family’s shared mission of promoting healthier, more sustainable living in the community — even after the day comes when she is ready to retire from running the store.
“As the business continues to grow, we hope to turn it over to our daughter, Emma, someday to carry on the vision we have,” Castle said.
Blended 6 Refillery is currently open Wednesday through Saturday with hours posted weekly on its Facebook page, Blended 6 Refillery, and Instagram, @blended6pa. Castle encourages customers to suggest products they’d love to see offered and share feedback on the most convenient shopping times.
