OTTAWA — May 7, 2025 — The Canadian Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that U.S. Ambassador to Canada Pete Hoekstra will join a growing number of international speakers and leaders at the upcoming B7 Summit happening in Ottawa, May 14–16, at the National Arts Centre.
A seasoned private sector executive, political leader, and diplomat, Pete Hoekstra served as U.S. Ambassador to the Netherlands from 2018 to 2021 under President Trump and was recently confirmed to serve as the next U.S. Ambassador to Canada. He also represented Michigan’s 2nd congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives for nearly two decades, including a term as Chair of the House Intelligence Committee.
Ambassador Hoekstra will bring his deep experience in international relations, North American policy, and transatlantic cooperation to the Summit as business and political leaders gather to address shared global challenges.
