In a press release sent to CityNewsOKC.com, Watkins-Conti Products, Inc. (“Watkins-Conti”) was described as “an Edmond-based healthcare company that develops pelvic health solutions for women.
“The company announced that its Yōni.Fit® Bladder Support (“Yōni.Fit®”) is now available in Walgreens stores in Texas and Oklahoma as pilot markets. This follows 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in mid 2024.”
As explained in the press release, “Urinary incontinence is a condition that is estimated to affect about 2 in 3 women in the U.S. at some point in their lives, negatively impacting quality of life and emotional well-being. Broad availability of the Yōni.Fit® is an important milestone as a non-surgical option for the temporary management of stress urinary incontinence (SUI) in women aged 18 and older.”
Allison L. Watkins, founder and CEO of Watkins-Conti, explained, ““As a new mother with SUI, I was unable to find effective and convenient alternatives to surgery and adult pads.
“I made it my mission to develop and bring to market the Yōni.Fit® bladder support, to help women self-manage their pelvic health regardless of their geographic location or proximity to healthcare. Now, with the product available in Walgreens stores in Texas and Oklahoma, more women can easily access this as a treatment option.”
The company press release says Wakins-Conti “is an American healthcare company that develops innovative and accessible solutions for women’s pelvic health. Watkins-Conti is developing a pipeline of treatments and diagnostics that address women’s reproductive, sexual, and pelvic health — with the goal of getting women everywhere the care they deserve.
“The company’s flagship product, the Yōni.Fit®, is a patient-designed, non-surgical device designed to relieve the symptoms of stress urinary incontinence. Watkins-Conti holds multiple utility patents, design patents, and trademarks in more than fifty countries, including the U.S. Based in Edmond, Oklahoma, the company has raised over $10M from angel investors and VCs.”
