Brisbane-based software firm Octopus Deploy took on a fresh $US30 million ($45.4 million) investment from US venture capital giant Insight Partners to fund its first major acquisition last year, with newly published accounts show the company has traded dividends and profits for significant revenue growth since its major 2021 investment.
The 13-year-old husband and wife run firm was unheard of outside techie circles until it shocked the local market by locking in a $US172.5 million investment from the New York-based VC firm in April 2021. It has now filed accounts covering 2020 to 2024 with the corporate regulator, which show it has adopted a less conservative fiscal approach since the investment.
