RIA consultants Jay Hummel and John Phoenix are taking the cover off a new aggregator which has a twist they hope will attract broker-dealer-affiliated advisors and RIAs alike: advisors will own the majority of the business.
The new business, Uniting Wealth Partners (UWP), quietly launched in October of 2024 and has already added an eight-advisor team from Raymond James which Hummel and Phoenix say managed $550m in assets: neither has spoken publicly about UWP until now.
‘It’s really the only firm out there that is using aggregation to benefit the advisor and that has created a business that’s almost a co-op,’ said Phoenix, who serves as co-managing partner of UWP alongside Hummel.
