Ropes & Gray represented Partners Group in acquiring a significant minority stake in restor3d, a leader in technology-driven personalized orthopedic solutions, marking the company’s first institutional investment. The transaction was announced on August 22.

In connection with the transaction, restor3d raised a total of $104 million, including $65 million of new equity from Partners Group and $39 million from existing shareholders. In addition, Partners Group will join restor3d’s board of directors, contributing operational experience and healthcare knowledge to support restor3d’s long-term growth strategy.

restor3d combines proprietary AI-driven design software, integrated manufacturing and surgical planning to deliver implants tailored to both surgeon preference and patient anatomy. With FDA-approved solutions for shoulder, hip, knee, foot and ankle, restor3d empowers surgeons with patient-specific implants to improve surgical fit and function. restor3d has partnered with more than 520 surgeons in 740 hospitals nationwide.
