California-headquartered global VC firm FinSight Ventures has launched the FinSight Generative AI Index Fund.
This $50 million fund aims to invest in the leading companies in generative AI. It offers investors an easy way to access a portfolio of 12 selected companies central to the generative AI industry.
Unlike traditional venture capital funds, which can be unclear about their investments, the FinSight Generative AI Index Fund provides clear information about the companies included and how they were chosen.
“This is a new format for private market investors. Most funds cannot build portfolios exclusively from market leaders. Our fund combines transparency, predictability, and an institutional approach, proving that the logic of public index strategies can also be applied to private investments,” adds Pavel Gurianov, Managing Director of FinSight Ventures AI Index Fund.
Current portfolio companies include Scale AI, Databricks, Glean, Intercom, and Together AI.
Capturing the generative AI adoption wave
The US VC firm focuses on late-stage companies that earn over $50 million and have adopted AI in enterprises. This gives investors access to businesses poised to shape the future of AI.
Fundraising for the FinSight Generative AI Index Fund started in May 2025, with the first closing on July 1. The fund raised 40% of its goal from almost 100 investors, including family offices, entrepreneurs, angel investors, and asset managers.
