The South Central School Board held a special meeting to deal with personnel issues on Wednesday night.
The board accepted the resignation of Blake Doehring as teacher, head basketball coach, and athletic director for the middle school and high school. They then granted Doehring a leave of absence for the rest of this school year.
Nicole Doehring resigned as a teacher.
The board hired Landon Zurliene as high school PE teacher, boys head basketball coach and middle school athletic director for the coming school year. Zurliene will graduate from McKendree College in May where he has been an outstanding basketball player after playing high school football and basketball at Fairfield Community High School.
