(Washington City, UT) — Counties in southern Utah are seeing an increase in employment. The Department of Workforce Service says nonfarm payroll employment in Iron County saw a three percent increase in January compared to the same month last year. As for Washington County, that increase was five and a half percent. It follows a trend across the Beehive State, which saw a near two-percent increase to its workforce. The current job count in Utah is now at more than one-point-seven million.
