SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Cradlewise co-founder and CEO Radhika Patil just got the kind of endorsement most startups dream of – OpenAI’s Sam Altman called her smart crib one of his top baby product picks.
Altman, who became a dad in February, gave Cradlewise a shoutout on social media, saying, “We bought a lot of silly baby things that we haven’t needed, but definitely I recommend a Cradlewise crib—and a lot more burp rags than you think you could possibly need.” The post lit up among techies and new parents alike.
Radhika responded, “Thanks for loving us, Sam Altman. The AI god’s trust in the smarts of Cradlewise means a lot to us.”
Launched by Radhika and her husband Bharath Patil, Cradlewise builds AI-powered smart cribs that detect when a baby is starting to wake up and gently rock them back to sleep. The idea came from their own parenting struggles and grew into a hit among sleep-deprived parents looking for tech that actually helps.
The cribs sell for $1,999 in the U.S. and around ₹1.5 lakh in India.
Radhika’s mix of personal experience and tech know-how – she holds degrees from Stanford and IISc Bengaluru – has helped Cradlewise stand out in the crowded world of baby gear. Now, with Sam Altman’s unexpected endorsement, she’s got Silicon Valley’s seal of approval!
