New state government grants will help three first nations owned local businesses.

The state announcing that close to three million dollars will be shared across 80 businesses across the state under the Victorian Aboriginal Business Investment Program.

Blak Brews and Wanyaari Aboriginal Consultancy Services gaining 10 grand for training and mentorship among other growth avenues.

AH Plumbing Services in Belmont set to receive a grant to help expand into new markets.

Member for Geelong, Christine Couzens said it was a great outcome for the region.

“Investing in Aboriginal businesses is not just an economic opportunity, it’s a pathway to empowering communities, creating sustainable jobs, and driving us toward achieving economic equality within a generation,” she said.

“By supporting Indigenous entrepreneurship, we are building a future where Aboriginal communities thrive and lead the way.”

“These grants help successful, innovative First Nations businesses to grow and provide even more jobs in regional Victoria.”
