NBA superstar Stephen Curry is experiencing considerable success with his business venture, Thirty Ink, which generated $173.5 million in revenue in 2024, according to CNBC.
Thirty Ink is a brand conglomerate that encompasses Unanimous Media, Gentleman’s Cut bourbon, and Underrated Golf and Basketball, the outlet reported.
A majority of the company’s revenue stems from Curry’s Under Armour partnership. As previously reported by AFROTECH™, he has been signed to Under Armour since 2013, with the retailer establishing The Curry Brand in 2020.
The Golden State Warriors point guard, who is also an 11-time NBA All-Star, serves as the president of The Curry Brand and was awarded 8.8 million Under Armour common shares in 2023, valued at $75 million at the time, which also included awards and incentives, CNBC reported.
Now as Curry’s Thirty Ink portfolio continues to grow every business is making a profit.
“It’s completely unique,” Suresh Singh, Thirty Ink’s secretary-chairman, told the outlet. “One of the big things, I believe, is that there’s a lot of athlete-and celebrity-driven partnerships and businesses that aren’t necessarily focused on profit, aren’t necessarily focused on mission. We do both.”
Unanimous Media has seen year-over-year profits and is currently in its fourth year of a first-look deal with Comcast’s NBCUniversal. The agreement was signed for “high eight figures” and was already renewed once.
“It was a good deal, for sure,” said Unanimous Media Co-Founder and Co-CEO Erick Peyton, per CNBC. “We’re really, really happy with Universal, and we’re hoping that they recoup their investment, and we’re hoping to kill it not only on Universal, but on the Peacock side.”
Beyond the success of his ventures, Curry shared his viewpoints on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
“Obviously, from a national perspective, a lot of the narrative is trying to peel back programs and opportunities that are programs and resources that are allowing people to have just a fair shot and a fair chance,” he told the outlet. “Everything that we do and what I can control is about true equity. If you look at all of our businesses — our DEI writers for Unanimous, or even looking at something like the Underrated brand — it’s about creating true representation and opportunity from a grassroots level.”
He added, “All that stuff is important to me. I want to actually walk the walk and live it. And hopefully that’s an example for how our country should.”
