Jonah Dickson may still be a student in BU MET’s MS in Global Marketing Management (MSGMM) program, but he’s ready to make a difference. He’s doing just that through the business he cofounded, Orobor, a sustainable clothing enterprise that uses old tennis racket strings to manufacture high-purity yarn that can be woven into new clothing.
Launched in the fall of 2024, the sustainability-minded company is the brainchild of Dickson and his BU tennis partner, Jakob Esterowitz, a sophomore in the College of Engineering. Dickson serves as the organization’s chief operating officer, which only befits a student of MET’s Global Marketing Management (GMM) master’s degree program, where he learns vital lessons about challenges businesses like his face.
Metropolitan College’s GMM program equips students with the skills to lead international marketing strategies across diverse markets. With a focus on digital trends, cross-cultural communication, and real-world application, the program prepares students like Jonah to navigate global business challenges and seize opportunities in today’s interconnected, competitive marketing landscape.
