The scale-up tips headquarters of the Korea Venture Capital Association (VC Association) held the “2025 Scale-up Tips Global Meet-up 1 (Singapore) program in Singapore from the 29th to the 31st of last month. The event, which has been held for four years since 2022, is designed to create contact points with global investors in more diverse sizes and industries by linking native startups with Singapore’s investment ecosystem, which has emerged as an Asian finance and startup hub. Among the 400 companies participating in the scale-up tips, 10 companies selected after screening were together.
After listening to the market status of local investors, they had a one-on-one business meeting with IR pitching, and visited FLEX Singapore, a global manufacturing solution company, to share technology commercialization strategies and local success stories to enter the Asian market. Han Ji-hoon, director of Korea Venture Investment (KVIC) Singapore, gave a lecture on strategies to advance into Southeast Asia.
Scale-up Tips is a privately-led technology innovation start-up support program promoted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the Small and Medium Business Technology Information Promotion Agency, Korea Venture Investment, and the VC Association. More than 400 small and medium-sized venture companies have participated so far by pre-investing more than 1 billion won by competent venture capital and the government linking R&D funds to companies.
The VC Association is planning to promote ‘Scale-up Tips Global Meet-up 2 (Boston)’ in the United States in November.
Singapore participants include Nemesis (developer of bio-signal processing chips for digital healthcare devices) and Rumplier (development of customized domestic eco-friendly LFP secondary batteries), ReelM (development of films and all-solid bodies for special batteries, current collectors for sodium batteries), Mitoimun Therapeutics (development of treatments targeting peroptosis involved in disease pathology with structure-based platform technology), VeriWars (integrated platform technology that certifies and links reduction performance with carbon-neutral quantification and blockchain technology based on electric two-wheeled vehicle operation data), Bose Semiconductor (development of high-performance, They include StellarVision (a technology that easily searches and analyzes data from more than 300 satellites around the world on a single platform), Aitrix (an artificial intelligence decision support system that predicts acute severe events and intensive care unit deaths in hospitalized patients in general wards with EMR data), and Cosolus (high-purity recycled graphite recycled from spent cathode materials through extractors and molecular vibration heating).
