Booz Allen Hamilton Ventures is committing $200 million to its corporate venture capital arm, in order to deepen its work with defense tech startups ranging from drones, artificial intelligence, among other areas.

Carlsmed, an AI-powered spine surgery firm, launched its initial public offering on July 23, 2025. The company priced its shares at $15 per share and raised $100 million. It trades under the ticker symbol $CARL.

On July 14, Alexandria Real Estate Equities announced drugmaker Novartis signed a 466,000 SFT lease for its new R&D in Sorrento Valley, the lease was represented by CBRE, and is the largest in Alexandria’s history, to date.
