Building on the remarkable success of our pilot, which supported over 370 people into work, we’re thrilled to announce a two-year extension of our Energise programme supported by Shell UK. The Energise programme is a four-week employability upskilling programme combined with longer-term career support.
This expansion will significantly amplify our impact, supporting more than 3,000 people across the UK to find purpose-driven, long-term employment within the energy transition sector.
Our award-winning training, delivered by our dedicated and expert career coaches, focuses on breaking down barriers to employment, building essential confidence and skills, and providing extended career coaching beyond the training. During our pilot, our participants reported an incredible 77% increase in their confidence to enter the job market and reported marked improvements in their mental health and wellbeing.
We are proud to be delivering one of Shell UK’s employability programmes, contributing to their aim to support 15,000 people into jobs, with a focus on the energy transition by 2035. This collaboration underscores the power of strategic partnerships in driving meaningful social impact and fostering a skilled workforce for the future of clean energy.
Christina Hicks, Director of Employability at Catch22 says:
“The extension of the Energise programme with Shell UK is a pivotal moment for Catch22 and for the thousands of people we will now be able to support into lasting careers within the energy transition sector. This collaboration demonstrates the tangible impact of investing in employability, and I have a huge amount of respect for our talented career coaches who deliver this vital programme with such commitment and skill, making a real difference to people’s lives.”
This continuation of this programme represents a significant step forward in our mission to tackle unemployment and create lasting career opportunities. We look forward to continuing this vital work with Shell UK to empower individuals to build brighter futures.
