Faber believes that last year’s market rally in India and the U.S. was driven by uninformed retail investors, many of whom are now facing sharp losses. He noted that speculative investments in Nvidia, Tesla, and Bitcoin were among the key drivers of the rally, but these assets have seen significant declines in recent months. Over the past month, Tesla has fallen by 30%, Nvidia by 17%, and Bitcoin by 13%, highlighting the downturn in speculative assets. “Retail investors have suffered colossal losses in the last two months,” he said, adding that Indian investors have not been spared from the volatility.
