StartupNWA’s two-day venture capital event, VC Immersions, is scheduled to take place in Bentonville on May 13-14.
The event plans to bring together 40 venture capital firms and a group of high-potential startups for one-on-one meetings, networking and more, according to a news release.
Serafina Lalany, executive director of StartupNWA, said access to capital can sometimes depend on a zip code — but this event flips that model.
“Bringing investors to founders and providing that world-class companies can start and scale from anywhere,” she said.
The opening session, called “Unscripted: the Opening Session of VC Immersions,” features interactive panels and a networking event open to the public. It is scheduled for 10:45 a.m., May 14, at the Ledger in Bentonville, and the panel will include Charles Hudson, managing partner at Precursor Ventures; Phil Libin, founder and chief executive officer at All Turtles and Airtime; and Tammy Sun, founder and chief executive officer at Carrot.
More information about the event and registration is available at the StartupNWA website: startupnwa.com/vc-immersions.
