The Western Australian Government is bringing Venture Downunder to the state for the first time in August 2025 to bolster the local venture capital ecosystem and showcase innovation investment opportunities.
Now in its eighth year, Venture Downunder, is poised to bring more than 100 venture capital investors from across Australia and New Zealand to WA for the event.
The venture capital event is designed to promote in-depth discussions and knowledge sharing to build relationships that translate into real investment and growth into WA startups and the local economy.
In 2024, the state government announced a $45 million investment into venture capital firms through the WA Venture Capital (WAVC) initiative. The investment is set to lead to over $150 million being invested into local startups.
The initiative continues to help companies secure capital in WA, as well as attract companies to base themselves in the State.
Venture Downunder will be held in the Swan Valley region over 5-8 August 2025.
