Nothing co-founder and India representative Akis Evangelidis shared his entrepreneur journey with Nothing. Speaking at the ET Now Leaders of Tomorrow Awards Season 2, Nothing co-founder and India representative Akis Evangelidis said that he considers Nothing a big startup while sharing lessons on mastering the art of driving a business to global standards.

“Globalization has been an exponentially kind of blurring the line between different geographical locations,” he said.

“With Nothing ever since we started…anchoring our story into something meaningful for audience… and relatable… we think about ourselves as users,” said Evangelidis.

Sharing the journey, he said, “…it was 4 years ago, we grew up with the launch of the iPhone. Recalling how he used to stay up late in the night watching the key notes.”

“And, you know, four years ago, that’s kind of excitement within the industry sort of faded away. So we’re like, okay, we’re entering our 30s, so we thought that, yeah, if we would take a shot, it would be now or never,” he added.

“So, we embark on that journey really looking at this again from a user lens. And then gradually, as we start kind of building the company, talking to people, we realized that it wasn’t just us that we’re feeling that way, and we sort of created that emotional connection that, again, was as part people on the global scale,” he said.

When asked about the Indian market, he noted that India is a fabulous market, and the growth has been insane. He further noted that India is home to big companies.
