Non-permanent workers from various Maruti Suzuki plants gathered at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on Wednesday under the banner of ‘Maruti Suzuki Asthayi Mazdoor Sangh’ seeking permanent jobs and “equal pay for equal work”.

The protesters also spoke against the Centre’s new Labour Codes, terming them “anti-worker”. Representatives from several unions, including Shramik Sangram Committee, Mazdoor Ekta Committee, and Mazdoor Patrika, participated in the demonstration.
