Indore: From tackling financial barriers in agriculture to revolutionising household services and green housing, school students from across Madhya Pradesh stepped into the shoes of entrepreneurs during TechSpark 2.0, a three-day innovation programme that concluded on Wednesday at Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT).
Organised by AIC RRCAT Pi-Hub Foundation, the event brought together over 120 students from 30 schools and offered hands-on exposure to advanced technologies and the startup ecosystem. Supported by the Atal Innovation Mission and NITI Aayog, the programme encouraged students to apply science and innovation to address real-world challenges.
Lectures by RRCAT scientists and a Raman spectroscopy demonstration by Dr Arun Kumar Rai sparked curiosity among students, who later participated in the TechSpark Elevator Pitch competition. Twenty student-led startup ideas were presented, showcasing solutions in agriculture, sustainability, and social services.
The winning team, RIBNITE, proposed a startup for Agri-Commercial Credit Integration. Kanika Pawar from Emerald Heights International School said the experience taught her how to merge science with entrepreneurship. Ritika from Choithram School called it a unique opportunity to pitch before experts.
The hub director Dr CP Paul said, “The event reflects a mindset shift—students are no longer passive learners but emerging as problem-solvers and innovators.”
