Gurugram: Client Associates, a multi-family office and private wealth management firm, has appointed Akshay Kapur as Executive Director and Head – Investment Advisory. Based in Gurugram, Kapur will lead the firm’s Investment Advisory function, focusing on strengthening investment insights, portfolio advisory and tailored solutions for the families it serves.
Kapur brings over two decades of experience in wealth management and portfolio advisory. He was part of the founding teams at IndusInd Bank Pioneer Private and Axis Bank Burgundy Private, where he gained experience in building investment advisory capabilities and serving clients across diverse market environments. His expertise spans portfolio advisory, investment solution structuring and wealth management.
The appointment comes as Client Associates marks its 25th year, with the firm continuing to invest in specialist capabilities and experienced leadership. As high-net-worth individuals (HNIs) and ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNIs) navigate increasingly diversified portfolios, evolving investment opportunities and complex financial priorities, the firm is looking to further integrate investment expertise into its broader wealth advisory approach.

Commenting on the appointment, Himanshu Kohli, Co-founder, Client Associates, said, “Our philosophy has always been to build capabilities around the evolving needs of the families we serve. Today, investment advisory requires more than identifying opportunities. It calls for deeper research, informed judgement and the ability to connect investment decisions with a family’s broader wealth objectives.
Akshay’s appointment is an important step in strengthening this capability. His experience, perspective and investment expertise will add greater depth to our advisory proposition and help our teams deliver more meaningful value to clients.”
Akshay Kapur, Executive Director & Head – Investment Advisory, Client Associates, said, “What attracted me to Client Associates was its long-standing philosophy of looking at wealth holistically, rather than through individual products or transactions. As families’ investment needs evolve, there is a growing need for advisory that combines strong investment insights with a clear understanding of their long-term objectives.
I look forward to working closely with the Wealth and Asset Allocation teams to further strengthen the firm’s Investment Advisory capabilities and contribute to the value we create for our clients.”
In his new role, Kapur will work closely with Client Associates’ Wealth Advisors and Product teams across locations. He will bring specialist investment perspectives into client conversations, portfolio reviews and investment strategy discussions. The appointment reflects the firm’s continued focus on building a collaborative, expertise-led advisory platform.
Kapur holds an undergraduate degree from Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi, and a postgraduate degree from Symbiosis Institute of International Business (SIIB), Pune.
