But the scale and speed of modern markets demand stronger analytical support. Hence, nearly 84% of Indian stockbrokers plan to increase investments in artificial intelligence and machine learning, notes Ashok Suvarna, CEO, Aditya Birla Money.

In investing, progress is often measured by participation. More accounts, more SIPs, more first-time investors and higher assets under management are all important indicators of a deepening market. By that measure, India has made remarkable progress. But the more important question for the next decade is not simply whether more Indians are investing. It is whether they are investing with the right understanding, discipline and support. As participation widens, the industry’s responsibility is to ensure that access is matched by clarity, suitability and trust.
