The Federal Government has officially launched the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) Partner Network, alongside a strategic partnership with the European Union, in a move aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s digital workforce and expanding opportunities for young people.

The launch, held in Lagos, brought together senior government officials, representatives of the European Union, private sector leaders, and development partners, all committed to advancing digital skills and employment across the country.

The 3MTT programme, an initiative of the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, is designed to train millions of Nigerians in critical digital skills. With the unveiling of the Partner Network, the programme is expected to transition from a high-impact initiative into a more structured and scalable system for talent development.

According to stakeholders at the event, the newly established network will coordinate the activities of training providers, technology companies, and other partners, ensuring a more organised and accountable approach to delivering digital skills at scale.

The partnership with the European Union is also expected to provide international support, enhance programme credibility, and unlock broader opportunities for Nigerian participants within the global digital economy.

Speaking at the event, the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, described the development as a significant milestone in Nigeria’s digital transformation journey.

He said, “Today is not the end of a chapter; it is the opening of a new one,” noting that the launch signals the beginning of a scale-up phase for the programme.

Tijani added that the Partner Network would help consolidate previously fragmented efforts into a unified system capable of delivering long-term impact, while positioning Nigeria as a global hub for digital talent.
